  • King George Island

King Jorge Island forms part of the South Shetland archipelago, which is situated north of the Antarctic Peninsula. Several international bases, among which the Chilean Station Eduardo Frei with its landing strip Teniente Rodolfo Marsh, are located here.
  • Deception Island

Deception Island forms part of the South Shetland archipelago. It has a typical horseshoe shape of 8 miles in diameter which encloses a large bay named Port Foster. Deception Island is an active caldera and is the largest volcano in the South Shetlands.
  • Gerlache Strait

The Gerlache Strait separates the Antarctic Peninsula from Anvers, Brabant and Wienke islands among others. In this area are found magnificent sites, such as Paradise Bay, Neko Bay, Port Lockroy, and Cuverville Island.
